PROBLEM: There aren’t any funny books about Australian cask wine.
PURPOSE: To create a comedic take on Australian “Goon Bag” culture.
Your Guide to Goon showcases pages dedicated to the sub-cultural aspects of cask wine in Australia. Of course this was quite bogan in its content but this was contrasted with a cookbook/wine guide art direction reminiscent of publications from Donna Hay or James Halliday. This was meant to be taken lightly as opposed to a more serious wine guide. With the book I also designed a UI mockup of an application version that could be downloaded on a phone and feature distinct functionalities.
